Dr. Len Lecci is on a mission to help people maintain happy, healthy brains.
Dr. Lecci, a professor of psychology at University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Director of Clinical Services at MARS Memory-Health Network, believes we need to give the health of our brains at least as much attention as we give to the health of the rest of our bodies. And the earlier we start, the better.
On Thursday, May 17, Dr. Lecci will present a talk entitled “Your Happier, Healthy Brain,” at Lynchburg College’s Sydnor Auditorium in Schewel Hall. Sponsored by Westminster-Canterbury-Lynchburg and the Beard Center on Aging at Lynchburg College, Dr. Lecci will share the latest research and advice on practical ways to maintain brain health. He notes that it is even possible for people who already have outward signs of dementia to flourish.
This event is open to the public. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. with the event starting promptly at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are $10 and seating is limited.
