Westminster Canterbury joins Senior Independence to offer home and community-based services
Lynchburg, Virginia — September 2009
Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg has joined Senior Independence in a strategic partnership to develop home and community-based services for seniors in Lynchburg and central Virginia. The partnership will enable Westminster Canterbury to complement its existing LifeCare retirement community with services to help seniors remain independent in their homes.
“We will continue to offer an outstanding LifeCare community with its full continuum of care,” said Hunsdon Cary III, President and CEO of Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg. “With the addition of home and community-based services, Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg will meet the needs of Westminster Canterbury’s residents as well as seniors in the surrounding area.
“It is incumbent on Westminster Canterbury to find as many alternatives as possible to help seniors live safely and comfortably wherever they call home,” he said. “We are partnering with Senior Independence because it has been at the forefront of serving older adults at home for many years.”
Westminster Canterbury will own and operate the home and community-based services program with ongoing technical support and services from Senior Independence.
